Phoenix Community Parent Page For Parents with Elementary Age Children This resource is designed for you; the parent. We believe at Phoenix that it is the responsibility of the parent to model and teach what it means to know and follow Jesus in the Christian faith. It is the church’s responsibility to walk along side of you as a resource and support in the teaching process. That is why we would like to give you this Parent Page each week so that you can know about the lesson your child is being taught each Sunday and how to continue talking to him/her about the transformational truth throughout the week. If you have any questions or need help feel free to contact me: This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it For the next three months we are focusing on The Lord’s Prayer. Learning to Pray God's Way contains 12 lessons that dig into the concepts of what prayer is and how we should pray. The lessons explore each phrase of the Lord’s Prayer helping children to not only learn the words to this prayer, but what those words mean and how they apply to their lives. Through these lessons children will discover that prayer is more than recitation or a wish list. It’s part of a vital relationship with God. This Week’s Transformational Truth: Prayer is talking and listening to God.
