Romans 5:8 "But God put his love on the line for us by offering his Son in sacrificial death while we were of no use whatever to him." John 3:16-17 "This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life. God didn't go to all the trouble of sending his Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again." Ephesians 2:1-6 It wasn't so long ago that you were mired in that old stagnant life of sin. You let the world, which doesn't know the first thing about living, tell you how to live. You filled your lungs with polluted unbelief, and then exhaled disobedience. We all did it, all of us doing what we felt like doing, when we felt like doing it, all of us in the same boat. It's a wonder God didn't lose his temper and do away with the whole lot of us. Instead, immense in mercy and with an incredible love, he embraced us. He took our sin-dead lives and made us alive in Christ. He did all this on his own, with no help from us! Then he picked us up and set us down in highest heaven in company with Jesus, our Messiah. "
Exodus 3:11-12 Moses answered God, "But why me? What makes you think that I could ever go to Pharaoh and lead the children of Israel out of Egypt?"
Proverbs 2:1-8 My son, if you accept my words
2 turning your ear to wisdom
3 and if you call out for insight
4 and if you look for it as for silver
5 then you will understand the fear of the LORD
6 For the LORD gives wisdom,
7 He holds victory in store for the upright,
8 for he guards the course of the just
Micah 1:16 "Shave your heads in mourning... Stuff: I love sitting around with my wife Ginney on cold evenings with a hot cup of tea, and the lights down low, watching my wedding video, and sharing our feelings...Actually, I haven't watched that video but a couple of times in the 17 years I've been married, and I don't drink hot tea, sharing feelings are often tough, BUT I do love hanging out with my wife and children laughing and relaxing. I know that they are a 3-D example of God's extravagant love, mercy, and grace! God continues to use my family to confirm His call on my life! "I love dreaming as far out as possible and hearing God speaking from just beyond my wildest imagination!"
